Winter Skin Care

My skin care regimen varies from season to season. I am 25 years old and have oily and acne prone skin with a mild case of rosacea, so I have to make sure I use gentle but effective products. Nothing is worse than irritating my sensitive skin and making my acne or redness worse. During the summer I use lighter products so my skin doesn’t get too oily with the heat but in the winter my skin can get dry.

I’ve learned what works best for me by trying a variety of Epionce products.   Elane Jones, LE recommends a good facial cleanser and moisturizer. On cold winter days I love to clean my face with Epionce Gentle Foaming Cleanser and massage with a soft cloth rinsed in warm water. To keep my face moisturized I apply Epionce Renewal Facial Lotion, which is not too lite but not too heavy for my skin type. If I know I am going to be doing any winter outdoor activities I make sure to apply Medical Barrier Cream for extra moisture and SPF 50 for sun protection.

If you have difficulty deciding what products to use or even knowing what type of skin you have,  I recommend seeing a licensed aesthetician.  Both of the aestheticians at Seattle Skin and Laser offer complimentary consultations.
