2018 is quickly coming to an end, and for most insurance carriers, that means contract renewals. Now is a good time to schedule your medical and dental appointments before your insurance benefits and deductibles reset for the new year. With your insurance contract renewals, there may be some benefits that are changing come January, so make sure to read your insurance packet carefully.
Did you know that you can get more than one skin check a year? Full skin exams are actually billed out as office visits, not “preventative” services, so there is no limit to how many times you can come in to be evaluated. If there is something that you have been waiting to come in for, contact our office today! Do keep in mind that just because something is covered by your insurance, that does not necessarily mean they will pay for your visit in full. Deductibles and other contractual obligations such as co-pays and co-insurance percentages still may vary depending on your specific plan.
Another good reason to take care of your medical and dental work now is to use up any remaining FSA contributions. If you don’t use up any of the remaining FSA money in your account, you lose it!
If you have any questions, please contact our office at (206) 525-1168. We recommend scheduling now to be seen before December 31st as our schedules are filling up fast!
