When the weather outside changes from warm to cold often time our skin becomes dry, red, and irritated. Switching from Lotion to a Cream helps with hydration and a calming Oatmeal mask can help soothe irritated skin.
Soothing Oatmeal Face Mask
This mask can be used by anyone, especially people with sensitive or dry skin. The recipe makes enough for one face mask.
- 1/4 cup finely ground oats (use a coffee grinder)
- 2 tablespoons whole-milk plain yogurt, preferably organic
- 1 teaspoon honey
- Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix until it forms a paste. Apply to your face and neck. Skin should be clean and dry to start. Let the mask set for 15 to 20 minutes. Rinse well with warm water and pat (never rub!) skin dry.
