WHAT IS LATISSE?
Latisse is a prescription medication called bimatoprost ophthalmic solution 0.03% which is used in patients that have inadequate or not enough eyelashes.
IS LATISSE RIGHT FOR ME?
Any person that desires longer, fuller, and thicker lashes is a good candidate for Latisse. Although Latisse is safe for most patients a quick consultation with a provider is needed prior to starting Latisse to ensure that Latisse is appropriate for you.
SIDE EFFECTS OF LATISSE
Some of the possible side effects are increased brown pigment in the colored part of the eye which is likely permanent. Eyelid skin darkening can occur and can be reversible. Other possible side effects are eye itching, irritation, dry eye and eye redness. All of the listed side effects occurred in less than 4% of patients during clinical trials.
HOW LONG DOES LATISSE LAST?
One bottle of Latisse should last approximately 10-12 weeks.
WHEN DO YOU SEE RESULTS AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Results can be seen in as early as 4-6 weeks but full results are typically seen at week 16. Once you have achieved full results to maintain results you will need to apply Latisse at least 3 times a week. Once Latisse is completely discontinued your lashes will gradually return to there original length and thickness.
HOW CAN I GET A BOTTLE OF LATISSE?
After your consultation with one of our providers they will provide you with a prescription and you may purchase Latisse in our office.
SINCE LATISSE IS A PRESCRIPTION IS IT COVERED BY MY INSURANCE?
No. Since Latisse is used for cosmetic purposes and is not covered by insurance.
