What is Exilis?
Exilis uses radiofrequency energy to reduce fatty deposits, tighten loose skin, and improve imperfections. When targeted at problem areas, thermal energy heats deep layers of the skin to trigger collagen production and promote the growth of stronger skin with improved texture and laxity. Exilis can be used to improve areas of fat or loose skin on the face, neck, and body and can provide a smoother contour and rejuvenation.
What to Expect During Treatment with Exilis
Treatment with Exilis is nonsurgical and noninvasive, so no sedation or anesthesia is necessary. Most patients describe the process as similar to a heated massage. Your laser technician at Seattle Skin & Laser will use a handpiece to deliver controlled thermal energy to the target areas. Each area takes about 15-30 minutes to deliver effective amounts of energy. While some patients only need one treatment to get the results they want, others may need two to four spaced out sessions for optimal results.
There are no side effects or downtime required after treatment with Exilis, so patients can get back to their regular routine right away. In the days and weeks after treatment, your body will begin to eliminate destroyed fat cells and continue to rebuild collagen in the skin. As this process continues, you can notice results with improved contour, skin laxity, and overall appearance. Patients can maintain their results by continuing a healthy diet and regular exercise.
